Salted Caramel Sauce (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup granulated sugar.
02 - 1/3 cup heavy cream, room temperature.
03 - 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, cubed and room temperature.
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
05 - 1/2 teaspoon sea salt.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat sugar over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until melted and golden-brown, about 10-15 minutes.
02 - Remove from heat. Quickly and carefully stir in warm cream. Mix immediately to prevent seizing.
03 - Add butter one cube at a time, mixing until fully melted.
04 - Stir in vanilla and salt until well combined.
05 - Pour into heat-proof container. Cool to room temperature before using.

01 - No candy thermometer needed.
02 - Use room temperature ingredients.
03 - Store in refrigerator.
