Polar Bear Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Unsalted butter, room temp (3/4 cup/170g).
02 - Full-fat cream cheese, room temp (1/2 cup/113g).
03 - Granulated sugar (1 1/2 cups/300g).
04 - Large egg, room temp (1).
05 - Vanilla extract (2 teaspoons).
06 - All-purpose flour (3 cups/375g).
07 - Cornstarch (1 tablespoon).
08 - Baking powder (1/2 teaspoon).
09 - Fine salt (1/2 teaspoon).
10 - Butter for frosting (1 cup/226g).
11 - Vanilla extract for frosting (1 tablespoon).
12 - Powdered sugar (3 1/2 cups/454g).
13 - Heavy cream (1/4 cup/60g).
14 - White sanding sugar (1 cup).
15 - Large chocolate chips (30).
16 - Black and pink/red sprinkles.

# Instructions:

01 - Beat butter and cream cheese until smooth, add sugar, then egg and vanilla.
02 - Combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder and salt, add to wet ingredients.
03 - Divide dough, wrap and chill 2 hours or freeze 30 minutes.
04 - Roll dough 1/3 inch thick, cut large circles for faces and small ones for ears.
05 - Chill shaped cookies briefly, then bake at 350°F for 12-14 minutes.
06 - Beat butter, vanilla and salt. Add powdered sugar and cream until smooth.
07 - Frost cookies, dip in sanding sugar, add features with chocolate and sprinkles.
