Brown the ground beef and sausage in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onions, minced garlic, marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.

In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese (or cottage cheese), cream cheese, sour cream, egg, Parmesan cheese, and 1 cup of shredded mozzarella. Mix until smooth.

In a 9×13-inch baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce on the bottom. Place a layer of lasagna noodles on top, followed by a layer of the cheese mixture. Repeat the layers, finishing with the remaining cup of shredded mozzarella on top.

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 20 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Let the lasagna rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.
