Easy Ground Beef and Potatoes (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 pound 90% lean ground beef
02 - 2 pounds potatoes (Idaho or Yukon gold), peeled and chopped into 1/2-inch pieces
03 - 1 large onion, diced
04 - 4 cloves garlic, minced

→ Seasonings & Oil

05 - 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
06 - 1 tablespoon hot sauce (like Cholula)
07 - 1 teaspoon salt
08 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

→ Optional Additions

09 - Frozen peas and carrots
10 - Bell pepper
11 - Mushrooms
12 - Green onions
13 - Shredded cheddar or Pepper Jack cheese

# Instructions:

01 - Brown ground beef in large skillet over medium-high heat until cooked. Optionally season with salt and pepper. Remove to plate.
02 - Optional: Drain excess grease and wipe skillet clean with paper towels.
03 - Return skillet to medium-high heat. Add oil and potatoes. Cook 12-15 minutes until tender but slightly firm, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
04 - Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic, hot sauce, salt, and pepper and cook 2 minutes until fragrant.
05 - Return beef to skillet and gently mix with potatoes and onion. Cover, reduce heat to low, and cook 5 minutes until heated through.
06 - Garnish with optional minced parsley and extra hot sauce if desired.
