Gluten Free Christmas Tree Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 cups gluten-free flour (Bob's Red Mill 1:1).
02 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened.
03 - 3/4 cup packed brown sugar.
04 - 1/2 cup sugar.
05 - 2 teaspoons vanilla.
06 - 1 teaspoon baking soda.
07 - 1 teaspoon cornstarch.
08 - 1 large egg plus 1 egg yolk.
09 - 1/4 teaspoon salt.
10 - 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips.
11 - 1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter, softened.
12 - 4 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar.
13 - 2 teaspoons clear vanilla extract.
14 - 2-4 tablespoons whole milk or cream.

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease circle cake pan. Mix flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt.
02 - Beat butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Gradually add flour mixture and chocolate chips.
03 - Spread in pan and bake 20-25 minutes until golden. Cool completely, then slice into 8 wedges.
04 - Beat butter until creamy. Add vanilla, then gradually add sugar. Thin with milk to desired consistency.
05 - Pipe rows of buttercream on each tree wedge, swipe down with spatula. Add sprinkles and star on top.
