Cut carrots into 1/2 inch slices.

Add carrots and 1 1/2 cups water to large pan. Bring to simmer and cook 8-10 minutes until tender.

Drain excess water.

Add butter, brown sugar, and salt. Stir to coat carrots.

Cook 4-5 minutes until sauce forms.

Sprinkle with parsley if desired.
