Chicken Sausage Broccoli Orzo (Print Version)

01 - 2 cups orzo pasta
02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
03 - 1 pound chicken sausage, sliced
04 - 2 cups broccoli florets
05 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
06 - 4 cups chicken broth
07 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
08 - Salt and black pepper, to taste
09 - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
10 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

# Instructions:

01 - In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced chicken sausage and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned, about 5 to 7 minutes.
02 - Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until aromatic.
03 - Add broccoli florets and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes until they begin to soften.
04 - Stir in orzo, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer.
05 - Cover and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
06 - Remove the pot from heat and stir in grated Parmesan cheese until fully melted and integrated.
07 - Serve immediately, topped with freshly chopped parsley.
