Air Fryer Sweet Plantains (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 ripe plantain (skin should be mostly black).
02 - ¼ cup avocado oil for brushing.
03 - Pinch of salt (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Cut the plantain skin down the length and peel it off completely.
02 - Make diagonal cuts to get 1-inch thick plantain pieces.
03 - Put plantain pieces in one layer in your air fryer basket. Brush each piece with avocado oil.
04 - Set air fryer to 390°F and cook for 15-20 minutes total.
05 - Check at 7 minutes and flip when bottom turns golden.
06 - Use tongs to take out the sweet plantains when done. Add a pinch of salt if you like.

01 - Pick plantains with black skin for sweetest results.
02 - Use avocado oil as it handles high heat well.
03 - Keep temperature at 390°F to prevent sugar burning.
04 - Always cook in a single layer for even results.
