Tuna Pasta Salad (No Mayo) (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 lb (250g) short pasta.
02 - 1 small red onion (1/2 cup or 60g), diced.
03 - 1/2 cup (100g) black olives, sliced.
04 - 1/2 cup (100g) green olives, sliced.
05 - 1/2 cup (60g) capers in brine, drained.
06 - 1/2 cup (90g) artichoke hearts in oil, drained.
07 - 12-14 plum or cherry tomatoes, halved.
08 - 10 oz (280g) tuna in oil, drained.
09 - 6-8 fresh basil leaves, roughly shredded.
10 - Salt and black pepper to taste.

# Instructions:

01 - Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Rinse under cold water to stop cooking, then transfer to large bowl.
02 - Add onion, olives, capers, artichokes, tomatoes and tuna chunks to pasta. Toss well.
03 - Top with shredded basil, salt and pepper. Serve immediately or chill 30 minutes to meld flavors.

# Notes:

01 - No mayonnaise needed.
02 - Can be made ahead.
03 - Served cold or room temperature.
