Heat oven to 375°F and grease a 9x13 baking pan.

Boil sweet potatoes in water for 15 minutes until fork tender.

Drain potatoes well.

Mash potatoes with brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, vanilla, salt and pepper.

Mix in half the pecans.

Spread mixture in the greased pan.

Top with marshmallows and remaining pecans.

Bake 25 minutes until marshmallows turn golden brown.
