Rice Krispie Easter Eggs (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base ingredients

01 - 15 cups Kellogg's Rice Krispies Cereal
02 - 15 tablespoons butter (salted, sweet cream butter works best)
03 - 15 cups mini marshmallows

→ For coloring

04 - Wilton Color Right Food Coloring (pink, blue, and yellow)

# Instructions:

01 - You'll need to make five separate batches of Rice Krispie Treat mixture - one for each color: Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple and Pink. Each batch will create about 5 eggs, for a total of 25 colorful Easter eggs.
02 - Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Once melted, add 3 cups of mini marshmallows and stir continuously until they're completely melted and smooth.
03 - Remove the pan from heat and add food coloring according to your desired egg color: Yellow (3 drops pink), Pink (4 drops pink), Purple (3 drops pink + 2 drops blue), Green (4 drops yellow + 1 drop blue), or Blue (4 drops blue). Stir until the color is evenly distributed.
04 - Add 3 cups of Rice Krispies cereal to the colored marshmallow mixture and fold gently until all the cereal is completely coated. The mixture should be sticky but cool enough to handle.
05 - Allow the mixture to cool slightly (about 1-2 minutes). Then, with slightly damp hands to prevent sticking, grab a handful of the mixture and gently shape it into an egg form. Place finished eggs on wax paper or parchment paper to cool completely.
06 - Repeat the entire process for each of the remaining colors, making sure to wash and dry your saucepan between batches to keep the colors vibrant and prevent mixing.

# Notes:

01 - For the best egg shape, compress the mixture firmly and use both hands to create a rounded oval form. The more you handle them, the smoother they'll be.
02 - Make sure your hands are just slightly damp when shaping the eggs - too much water will make the treats soggy.
03 - These colorful treats make perfect additions to Easter baskets or as edible table decorations for your holiday gathering.
