Heat a saucepan over medium heat, adding water and sugar. Stir constantly for approximately 5 minutes, ensuring the mixture reaches 230°F (softball stage) with a candy thermometer.

Pour the gelatin mixture into the hot sugar syrup and mix together thoroughly. Remove from heat.

Divide the mixture into separate cups and add food coloring for a glossy effect. Pour into various-shaped molds and allow to set.

Once fully set, remove candies from molds and coat them with sugar before serving.
