Buttery crescent rolls filled with pecan pie-inspired filling for a delicious, flaky pastry bite.

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough

→ Filling

02 - 3/4 cup pecans, chopped
03 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
04 - 1/2 cup light corn syrup
05 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
06 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
07 - 1 large egg

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
02 - In a large bowl, combine granulated sugar, light corn syrup, melted unsalted butter, pure vanilla extract, and large egg until well blended. Reserve 2 tablespoons of this mixture for later use.
03 - Stir chopped pecans into the remaining sugar mixture until pecans are evenly coated.
04 - Unroll crescent roll dough and separate into individual triangles on the prepared baking sheet. Spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of the pecan mixture onto the widest end of each triangle. Roll each up toward the narrow point to enclose filling.
05 - Place filled rolls in the preheated oven and bake for 8 minutes until they begin to set.
06 - Remove rolls from oven and brush tops with the reserved 2 tablespoons of sugar mixture. Return rolls to oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
07 - Remove rolls from oven. Optionally, sprinkle additional chopped pecans on top before serving.

# Notes:

01 - For enhanced flavor, toast pecans before using in the filling.
