Mardi Gras Cinnamon Rolls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Two-Ingredient Dough

01 - 1 cup self-rising flour (may need up to 1.25 cups)
02 - 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (regular or fat free)

→ Cinnamon Filling

03 - 1/4 to 1/2 cup brown sugar (can use brown sugar stevia)
04 - 1 tablespoon melted butter
05 - 1 tablespoon cinnamon (to taste)

→ Icing

06 - 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
07 - 1/8 cup milk (or more to get desired consistency)

→ Colorful Sugar Sprinkles

08 - Green food coloring
09 - Purple food coloring
10 - Yellow food coloring
11 - 1/2 cup sugar or stevia (divided between colors)

# Instructions:

01 - Combine self-rising flour and Greek yogurt in a bowl. Knead the dough, making sure you have plenty of flour as the dough can get sticky without an ample amount.
02 - Place dough on a flat, floured surface. Roll out flat using a rolling pin, creating a rectangular shape.
03 - Brush the flattened dough with melted butter. Mix cinnamon and brown sugar, then sprinkle a generous amount over the buttered dough.
04 - Roll the dough into a log shape. Cut into smaller pieces (about 12 rolls), then place in an 8x8 baking dish (preferably glass).
05 - Bake in the oven at 365 to 375 degrees F for 25 minutes. Note that oven temperatures may vary.
06 - While rolls are baking, mix powdered sugar and milk to create the icing glaze.
07 - Pour portions of sugar or stevia into separate mason jars. Add 2-3 drops of food coloring (green, purple, and yellow) to each jar. Close lids and shake continuously for about 30-45 seconds until desired color is achieved. The more drops you add, the richer the color will be.
08 - Brush the warm cinnamon rolls with icing once they're out of the oven. Sprinkle with the green, yellow, and purple colored sugar in sections to create a Mardi Gras effect.

# Notes:

01 - Fun and festive Mardi Gras-inspired Cinnamon Rolls are delicious and made with an easy 2-ingredient dough!
02 - You can swap plain Greek yogurt with vanilla flavored yogurt for a different taste - just make sure the flavors complement each other.
03 - If your dough becomes sticky, add more flour to your hands, surface, and rolling pin when preparing.
04 - The icing is optional - you can also just sprinkle cinnamon on top if preferred.
05 - For finer sprinkles, you can place them in a plastic bag and roll over it with a rolling pin to even them out.
