Honey Garlic Chicken Breast (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 500g chicken breast, boneless and skinless (2 pieces)
02 - Salt, to taste
03 - Black pepper, to taste
04 - 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
05 - 3 1/2 tbsp (50g) unsalted butter or 2 1/2 tbsp olive oil
06 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
07 - 1 1/2 tbsp apple cider vinegar or white vinegar
08 - 1 tbsp light or all-purpose soy sauce
09 - 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup

# Instructions:

01 - Slice the chicken breasts horizontally to create 4 thin fillets. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
02 - Place flour in a shallow dish and coat each chicken piece, shaking off any excess flour.
03 - In a large skillet over high heat, melt most of the butter while reserving about 1 tsp. Add the chicken and cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until golden brown. Flip and cook for another minute.
04 - Lower heat to medium-high. Push chicken to the sides of the pan and add garlic along with the reserved butter. Stir until the garlic softens slightly.
05 - Add vinegar, soy sauce, and honey to the pan. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer, cooking until the sauce thickens slightly (about 1 minute).
06 - Turn the chicken to ensure it's evenly coated in the sauce. If the sauce becomes too thick, add water in small amounts to adjust consistency.
07 - Remove the skillet from heat. Plate the chicken and drizzle any remaining sauce over the top before serving.
