Line baking sheet with silicone mat or parchment. Measure all ingredients. Attach candy thermometer to heavy saucepan.

Combine sugar and corn syrup in pan. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture bubbles.

At 250°F, add raw peanuts. Stir constantly to prevent burning until temperature reaches 300°F.

Remove from heat. Stir in butter, vanilla, and baking soda.

Pour onto prepared baking sheet. Let cool completely for 30-45 minutes.

Break into pieces once cool. Store in airtight container.
