German Bee Sting Cake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 cups all-purpose flour.
02 - 1/4 cup sugar.
03 - 1/2 cup warm milk.
04 - 1 packet active dry yeast (7g).
05 - 1 large egg.
06 - 1/4 cup softened butter.
07 - 1/4 cup butter for topping.
08 - 1/4 cup honey.
09 - 1/4 cup sugar for topping.
10 - 1/2 cup sliced almonds.
11 - 1 1/2 cups heavy cream.
12 - 2 tablespoons sugar for filling.
13 - 1 cup milk for filling.
14 - 2 tablespoons cornstarch.
15 - 1 teaspoon vanilla.

# Instructions:

01 - Mix yeast in warm milk until foamy. Combine with flour, butter, sugar and egg. Knead and let rise 1 hour.
02 - Melt butter, add honey, sugar and almonds. Cook until golden.
03 - Press dough in pan, add almond topping. Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.
04 - Whip cream with sugar. Make custard with milk, sugar and cornstarch. Fold together when cool.
05 - Split cake, spread filling inside and chill 1-2 hours.

# Notes:

01 - Cool cake completely before filling.
02 - Toast almonds for extra crunch.
