Easy Garlic Sautéed Mushrooms (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 pounds baby bella (cremini) mushrooms, or mix of mushroom varieties
02 - 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
03 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
04 - 2 tablespoons chopped garlic (6 cloves)

→ Seasonings

05 - 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
06 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
07 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
08 - 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar, plus more to taste
09 - 2 teaspoons fresh thyme or 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, plus more for serving

# Instructions:

01 - Wipe mushrooms clean with paper towel or brush. Slice into 1/2-inch-thick pieces.
02 - Heat olive oil in large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat. When hot, add butter, mushrooms, salt, and pepper.
03 - Sauté 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and most liquid has evaporated. Drain excess liquid if needed. Add soy sauce and vinegar, then garlic. Cook 30 seconds more, stirring constantly.
04 - Remove from heat. Stir in herbs, adjust seasoning to taste, and serve hot with extra herbs.
