East Coast Shrimp Rolls recipe (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Shrimp

01 - 2 tsp sea salt
02 - Juice from half a lemon
03 - Large pot of boiling water
04 - 2 lbs shrimp, cleaned with tails and veins removed
05 - Ice bath

→ Hot Dog Buns

06 - 8 hot dog buns
07 - 1 tsp butter per bun

→ Dressing Mix

08 - 1 cup mayonnaise
09 - 1 cup diced celery
10 - 1/2 cup chopped green onions (bottoms)
11 - 1/3 cup chopped dill
12 - 1/4 cup chopped chives
13 - 1/4 cup chopped parsley
14 - 2 tsp chopped capers
15 - 2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
16 - 1 Tbsp red wine vinegar
17 - Zest of 1 lemon
18 - 4 cloves garlic, grated or pressed
19 - 1 tsp paprika
20 - 1/2 tsp garlic salt
21 - 1/4 tsp onion powder
22 - 1/2 tsp sea salt
23 - Fresh cracked pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Bring a large pot of water to a boil over medium to high heat. Add 2 tsp sea salt and juice from half a lemon.
02 - Combine mayonnaise, celery, green onions, dill, chives, parsley, capers, Dijon mustard, red wine vinegar, lemon zest, garlic, paprika, garlic salt, onion powder, sea salt, and cracked pepper in a medium-sized bowl.
03 - Once water is boiling, add cleaned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes. Remove immediately and transfer to an ice bath to stop the cooking process.
04 - Butter the insides and tops of the hot dog buns. Broil in the oven for 1-2 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
05 - Chop shrimp into bite-sized pieces and mix with the prepared dressing. Stuff the hot dog buns with the shrimp mixture.
06 - Top each roll with an additional squeeze of lemon juice, sea salt, cracked pepper, and parsley before serving.
