Cranberry-Orange Sauce (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup pure cane or granulated sugar.
02 - 1/2 cup water.
03 - 1/2 cup fresh orange juice.
04 - 4 cups (12 oz) cranberries.
05 - 1 tablespoon orange zest.
06 - 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon.

# Instructions:

01 - Boil sugar, water, and orange juice.
02 - Add cranberries and boil for 2 minutes.
03 - Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
04 - Add orange zest and ground cinnamon.
05 - Simmer for 2 additional minutes.
06 - Cool at room temperature.
07 - Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

# Notes:

01 - Fresh or frozen berries work.
02 - You can add fresh raspberries if desired.
03 - Keeps for 2 weeks when refrigerated.
04 - Make up to 3 days ahead of time.
