Churro Toffee Made Easy (Print Version)

Buttery churro-inspired toffee topped with white chocolate and cinnamon sugar.

# Ingredients:

→ Toffee Base

01 - 1 cup unsalted butter
02 - 1 cup granulated sugar
03 - ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

→ Topping

05 - 2 cups Ghirardelli White Chocolate Wafers
06 - 2 tablespoons cinnamon sugar blend

# Instructions:

01 - Line a 15×10-inch baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
02 - In a medium saucepan, add butter, sugar, and salt over medium heat. Stir constantly until the butter melts. Once melted, continue stirring as the mixture begins to boil.
03 - Watch as the toffee mixture bubbles and changes color. When it resembles the color of raw almonds, remove it from the heat (approximately 5-8 minutes).
04 - Quickly stir in the vanilla extract and pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Use an offset spatula to spread it evenly to your desired thickness.
05 - In a microwave-safe glass bowl, heat the Ghirardelli white chocolate wafers for one minute. Stir until smooth.
06 - Pour the melted white chocolate over the warm toffee. Immediately sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar blend.
07 - Allow the toffee to cool and the chocolate to harden. Once set, break into pieces and enjoy.
