Chocolate Cut-Out Sugar Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour.
02 - 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder.
03 - 1/2 teaspoon baking powder.
04 - 1/4 teaspoon salt.
05 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened.
06 - 1 cup granulated sugar.
07 - 1 large egg.
08 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
09 - 1/2 teaspoon almond extract (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in medium bowl.
02 - Beat softened butter and sugar with electric mixer until light and fluffy, 2-3 minutes.
03 - Beat in egg, vanilla extract, and optional almond extract until combined.
04 - Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients on low speed until soft dough forms.
05 - Divide dough in two, flatten into discs, wrap in plastic. Refrigerate at least 1 hour up to 2 days.
06 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
