Buttery Pan Fried Morel Mushrooms Recipe (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound fresh morel mushrooms
02 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
03 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
04 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
05 - Salt and pepper, to taste
06 - Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

# Instructions:

01 - Use a soft brush or damp cloth to gently wipe off any dirt. Avoid soaking the mushrooms in water to prevent them from becoming waterlogged.
02 - Cut the morels in half lengthwise. This ensures even cooking and helps remove any hidden dirt.
03 - In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat until the butter melts.
04 - Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
05 - Add the cleaned and sliced morel mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they become golden brown and tender.
06 - Add salt and pepper to taste. Start with a pinch of each and adjust as needed.
07 - Just before serving, sprinkle fresh chopped parsley over the mushrooms for a pop of color and freshness.
