Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 cans whole water chestnuts (8 oz each).
02 - 1/4 cup soy sauce.
03 - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder.
04 - 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon brown sugar.
05 - 1 pound bacon, cut in thirds.
06 - 3/4 cup ketchup.
07 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce.
08 - 1 tablespoon parsley.
09 - Cooking spray.

# Instructions:

01 - Mix chestnuts with soy sauce, garlic powder and 1 tablespoon brown sugar. Chill 30 minutes to 2 hours.
02 - Heat oven to 400°F. Place rack on sheet pan and spray with cooking spray.
03 - Wrap each chestnut with bacon piece. Secure with toothpick.
04 - Bake 25 minutes on rack.
05 - Mix remaining brown sugar, ketchup and Worcestershire. Brush on chestnuts.
06 - Bake 20 more minutes until bacon is crispy. Garnish with parsley.

# Notes:

01 - Use whole chestnuts, not sliced.
02 - Avoid thick-cut bacon.
